AI Rank Playbook

The AI Rank Playbook turns your results into an ordered list of actions. Each step explains why it matters, how to do it, and how much impact and effort to expect. Steps tick themselves when WebRank can see you did them.

The AI Rank Playbook groups steps into six stages (sample data)

The six stages#

  1. Let AI read your site. If assistants cannot reach or parse your pages, nothing else matters. These are one-time technical fixes, such as letting AI crawlers in.
  2. Set up tracking. Measure where you stand so you know what is working.
  3. Publish pages AI can quote. Assistants quote clear, factual answers. Write the pages that answer your buyers' questions directly.
  4. Get mentioned where AI looks. Assistants lean on third-party sources. Earn mentions on the sites they already trust.
  5. Fix what AI gets wrong. A wrong claim repeated by assistants costs customers. Find it and correct it at the source.
  6. Measure and repeat. Re-check every week and do more of what moves visibility.

How to use it#

  1. Open AI Rank Playbook at the top of the sidebar.
  2. Start with the first stage. Steps marked high impact, low effort give the most for the least work.
  3. Open a step to read why it matters and the exact how-to.
  4. Do the step. If WebRank can verify it (for example that crawlers are allowed), it ticks by itself and shows a Detected badge. Otherwise press Mark as done. Use Skip for steps that do not apply to you; you can bring them back later.
  5. After you finish steps, check the results to see how visibility changed compared with before.

Why steps are ordered this way#

Technical access comes first because it is cheap and blocks everything else. Content and third-party mentions come next because they change what assistants say. Measuring last closes the loop and tells you what to repeat.

Note: AI assistants are not search engines, and no one can guarantee a result. The playbook is built on published research and what we observe in your data, and it shows the evidence for each step.
